What if the Lakers fail to get Dwight? What if it'll be just another transaction flop? What's next?
If not ALL, most likely a majority of the Lakers' fans would love to see Dwight Howard bring his talents to Lob Angeles. That's really amazing if it happens, if not, then will it be the start of the downfall of this team? Will the Lakers be switching positions in the standings as to where their city rival Clippers used to be?
There are definitely other great options out there. Deron Williams, Kevin Love, Rajon Rondo... there are a lot of other good guys that they can bring in. I'm just hoping that Mitch doesn't let this season roll without making a big move. Kobe still wants another championship... the fans wants the same. Its impossible for Kobe to get that in the future... so it really has to happen NOW!

Miami Heat Not An Option For Dwight Howard?
Dwight Howard talks about free agency when he went to Comic-Con's annual convention. He gave a hint that there may be a chance that he might be a Laker (hmmmm???). And then replied "NEVER" when asked about moving to Miami.
Check out his interview at:

Maybe the Heat doesn't want his talents in south beach anyway. Lebron and Howard together is like oil in water... it'll never mix.

Why should dwight howard move to the lakers?
If I'm in the shoes of Dwight Howard, the 3 reasons why I would want to move to the Lakers are:
1) Get the chance of winning a championship with the help of Kobe.
It's not such a bad idea to be teaming up with Kobe. I know Dwight would not prefer playing with someone like Kobe who is a selfish player 99% of the time. But that's already a given. That's who he is. That's how he wants to play. And he already won championships being the kind of player that he is. So it's very hard to argue with that.
If I'm Howard, I should really consider this offer. What's there to lose if he tries to win a championship with Kobe? none really.
2) The old guys will eventually pass the torch.
If point (1) doesn't work. He can still try with a different lineup. Kobe, Pau, Odom, Artest, Fisher.... in a few years these guys will retire. Dwight will now get another chance with a different lineup.. a younger group. That's why getting Chris Paul together with Dwight is the best deal they can get... but yeah quite impossible because of salary cap. :(
3) Be the next face of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Common.. who wouldn't want that opportunity? From Kobe's team then to Howard's team now. Being consulted on who he wants to play with and having the confidence and trust that the management will always try to build a team that can win championships. Plus the other perks that a Hollywood celebrity gets. Not a bad deal.
What do you think? Why would Dwight like to move to the Lakers?
